Where to Eat in Tagaytay: Cabanas Dine and Bar
Tagaytay has always been known for its picturesque views of the Taal Volcano. AND of course, it’s delicious food fare – especially the famed Bulalo. But what if we tell you there’s a way to further elevate the Tagaytay experience by building an IG-worthy Dine and Bar, serving delicious food, and offering a spectacular view of the Taal altogether? And by IG-worthy we mean a modern tropical-themed restaurant, built with minimalist furniture and ultra-vibrant murals. So ready your summer OOTDs, cameras, and say hello to Cabanas Tagaytay Dine and Bar!
Bestseller Food at Cabanas Tagaytay Dine and Bar
Appetizers: Yummy Fried Finger Food
Whenever I dine out, I always make it a habit to taste as much as I can. So appetizers (or soup at least) are a must! Luckily, Cabanas Tagaytay had a tasty lineup for their starters. We had five, in fact. Hehe. We chowed down on their fried bestsellers: Potato Chips (Php 215.00), Onion Rings (Php 175.00), Mozza Pops (Php 250.00 – HTD Fave). We also had Cabana Dine and Bar‘s Nachos (Php 199.00) that had a unique turmeric taste to it. Don’t forget the Sriracha-ish dipping sauce!
Mains: Cabanas Bulalo, Pancit Pusit, Bulalo Kare-Kare, Pancit, atbp.
Bagnet Laing (Php 289.00). A beautitful preview of my favorite at Cabanas Tagaytay, A creamy dish made savory by the big chunks of bagnet on top. This was good but I still prefered the one we had at Balinsasayaw Tagaytay Lalaan Uno.
Pancit Pusit (Php 239.00). I first had a taste of the wonderful flavor of this Cavite delicacy during our Calabarzon Food Tour with DOT last year. A delicious medley of noodles sauteed in squid ink topped with veggies and crunchy chicharon.
Bulalo Kare-Kare (Php 549.00). I love Kare-Kare but having golden crisp bagnet as the meat? OMG, total winner! A delightful mix of nutty, salty, crunchy – total YUMMY! PASS THE RICE PLEASE!!!
Cabanas Chicken (Php 269.00). Fried chicken will always be a favorite comfort food. And while I loved the crunchy texture offered by Cabanas Tagaytay, you can totally skip this one. Just because I think the meat lacks flavor and a little dry.

By this time, we were full to the brim. But once we saw what was waiting for us for dessert, we were all in for it! So what finished our Taal-overlooking meal at Cabanas Tagaytay? A special and total IG-worthy 4 Ways Cheesecake (Php 299.00). Sadly, somehow we were all a little disappointed with the texture and bland taste (except the dulce). So the Fruit Fritter (Php 139.00) might be a better option.

Overall Cabanas Tagaytay Dining Experience:
So would I go back and recommend dining at Cabanas Tagaytay Dine and Bar? Totally. I’d give ambiance a solid 5/5, if only for the cheery summer vibe and the views. Food-wise, I loved the effort put into creating a unique menu. Plating and presentation was a 5/5 but taste could still use some improvement 4/5. 🙂
