What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think “coffee house”? Maybe you’re thinking of one of the coffee behemoths that have taken the country’s capitals by storm. Or maybe you’re thinking of that down-to-earth community coffee shop where you used to hang out after work. The thing is, the decision on choosing a coffee house usually boils down to two factors: price and quality. Are you willing to trade a high price for a varied and high-quality selection, or are you willing to sacrifice flavor and variety to keep your caffeine fix within budget?
Last February 2017, Tim Hortons took to the Philippines to try and change all that. Bringing with it Canada’s iconic “double-double” and a rich selection of sweet and savory treats to match its famous coffee brew, Tim Hortons wanted to give the country’s coffee-drinking populace a premium option without the steep price. And it worked — from its first branch in BGC, Tim Hortons has expanded to more than 27 restaurants in just a span of two years!
As the brand now passes its second anniversary, it is embarking on a strong campaign to #MakeYourDayGood and further expand its offerings. These new additions to their lineup were revealed in their “Double Double: Tim Hortons Turns Two!” party held at The Marquis BGC. last February 28. The event was presided over by none other than Mr. Ricky Yap, Jr., President and CEO. Here are just a few of TH’s up-and-coming treats this March!
Tuna Melt. Tim Hortons already has a great array of sandwiches and wraps, and this Lent they’re giving patrons something to munch on without any guilt. The TH Tuna Melt has premium tuna chunks with melted cheddar and a healthy heap of tomatoes and onion slices.
Teajitos. Think tea ends with a steeping, or on ice? Tim Hortons introduces this black tea concoction flavored with fruits and mint! Choose between Peach Garden, Passion Fruit, and Green Apple. Nothing better to cool you down while keeping you healthy and running.
Fizz Coolers. And since summer is on the way, why not sit back and take a sip of these soda-based coolers? Strawberry, Green Pear & Apple, and Grapefruit-Lychee flavors for refreshments, why not?
Non-Coffee Ice Capp. Aside from its double-double (two sugarsand two creams, for the uninitiated), Tim Hortons is also famous for its Ice Capps. The perfect cross between a frappe and a coffee shake, TH is now adding Strawberry Shortcake, Caramel Hazelnut, and Cookies and Cream to their array of iced beverages.
This is just a portion of the new things we can expect from Canada’s favorite coffee house this 2019. Aside from looking to expand their staff and chain of stores, Tim Hortons is also looking to further its community activities, lending a helping hand to charities and various organizations.
We’ve just seen the second of the many milestones awaiting TH Philippines, as they continue to take more patrons into their fold. So the next time you think of a coffee house, why not try Tim Hortons?
