Tasteful Memories at The Gourmand Market BGC (Manila Events)
Now on its 18th run, spend the weekend with Tasteful Memories at The Gourmand Market BGC. The 3-day foodie event runs today until Sunday (August 24-26, 2018). The Gourmand Market will take place at the C1 Park, Central Square, BGC. What’s even better is that alongside great eats, you can beat the heat with ice-cold drinks from San Miguel Beer. Check out some of the delicious food to savour in the upcoming The Gourmand Market this weekend:
Canapés and Pica-Pica by Nawwty’s Kitchen
NawwTy’s Kitchen has always been home to “custom luxury comfort food”. After the success of the first The Gourmand Market, Trish Panlilio has been serving gourmet heirloom dishes as well as food inspired by her travels.
I fondly recall my first time at Mulberry Door a year ago and Trish’s food was a unique mix of modern techniques and nostalgic taste.
For this weekend’s run of The Gourmand Market, Trish will be serving tasty canapes that are light, healthy, yet comforting.
Sausages by The Cut: Premium Meats
MEAT! What I love about The Gourmand Market is the “handy-ness” of the food served. Since the food event will take place in an open area, expect easy-to-eat treats like the tasty sausages by The Cut: Premium Meats. During the media preview, we were served Cheesy and Spicy Hungarian sausages. I, being a chili-lover, prefer the latter. Definitely a run for your money!
Hotdogs by Hotto Doggu
Hotdogs, get your hotdogs! Sink your teeth into the juicy, tasty goodness of these awesome hotdogs from Hotto Doggu! So Japa-nice!
Burgers from Between the Buns
Who doesn’t love burgers? They’re fun, little messy, and a whole lot meaty! Not sure if they will serve bigger ones at The Gourmand Market, but certainly enjoyed these meaty buns!
Tahini Brownies by Bakers on East
Already craving for desserts? Go for these one-of-a-kind Tahini Brownies by Bakers on East. Just a quick trivia Tahini, or Ardeh, is a condiment made from toasted ground hulled sesame. It’s a major ingredient in several middle eastern dishes like the hummus and baba ghanoush. It was my first time eating Tahini Brownies actually and they are surely delicious! Not too sweet and a little nutty.
Malagos Brownies and Truffles by Blends and Batter PH
Now if you like your cocoa dark and full, go for the rich flavors by Blends and Batter PH. Their Malagos brownies were a sure-fire hit with everyone. Three words: ooeey, gooey, yummy! They were the perfect sweet-enders alongside the San Miguel Cerveza.
Lobster and Scallop Balls by Authentic House of Curry
Belgian Fries by Pojo’s PH
Ice-Cold Beer by San Miguel Beer
What other way to celebrate to celebrate tasteful memories than with a good bottle of beer, right? And it goes without saying that we Filipinos can count on San Miguel Beer to give us just that. Within each of the three featured brews featured at The Gourmand Market is a story of passion. Within each of these three beers lies excellence garnered through more than a century of brewing. Individually the provide unique adventures to the palate. Indeed, the Super Dry, Premium, and Cerveza Negra are the finest beers San Miguel has ever brewed.
San Miguel Super Dry is a uniquely smooth premium beer with no bitter aftertaste. Giving you a totally different and elevated drinking experience. It’s made from the finest aroma hops that leave a crispy, and dry finish. Definitely the best companion for red meat (pork and beef) dishes.
Meanwhile, San Miguel Premium all-malt is brewed using 100% pure malt for a more refined and balanced flavor. The combination of hops and malt results in a smooth, full-flavored and slightly sweet lager. It’s best paired with white meat and light seafood dishes.
Lastly, my favorite Cerveza Negra is a full-bodied dark lager with rich caramel undertones. Brewed from dark roasted malt, the result is a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness. Topped with a creamy and frothy finish. This one’s for a bolder and more daring palate and best paired with desserts. Like the brownies and truffles at The Gourmand Market!
