There is a newly opened Shaburi and Kintan Buffet in Glorietta 2 that we recently tried. This one is the same as the Shaburi and Kintan Buffet that you see in Uptown. Shaburi offers shabu-shabu while Kintan Buffet specializes in Japanese barbeque. In this case, we were craving for Japanese barbeque from Kintan Buffet.
THE LOCATION
The Shaburi and Kintan Buffet that we went to is located in Glorietta 2, Ayala Makati City. They’re open from 10 AM to 9 PM the same as the mall hours.
THE AMBIANCE
The smell of newly cooked meat that the other customers are cooking made our mouth water as we entered the restaurant. The place gives a fun and homey feeling with the tables filled with cooking customers enjoying their time. It is a good place to enjoy a buffet of meat with family and friends.

Aside from the Japanese barbeques in their menu, Kintan Buffet has a buffet table in the middle of the restaurant. They serve karaage, salad, curry, and more dishes in these tables. Drinks are also available.
THE FOOD THAT WE TRIED
There are two options to marinating the meat. It is a choice between Double Pepper and Teriyaki. We tried both on each meat to try different kinds of taste. The double pepper gave it spice while the teriyaki gave the meat a semblance of sweetness. Both of the marinades tastes great on the meat so you should try both and see for yourself which you would prefer.
Chicken Steak
We tried the Chicken Steak in Spicy Miso and Cheese Curry. When I tasted the one in cheese curry, it reminded me of curry in Coco Ichibanya.
Chicken Cheese Sausage
Alone, it tastes great, but when you try it on the dips, it tastes even better. You can mix your own dips to pair with the sausage.
Tasty Karubi
Their Tasty Karubi comes in either Teriyaki, Double Pepper, or Garlic Butter. Karubi is Japanese short ribs without the bones. Their Karubi is well cut that cooking it is also easy.
Rosu
Among the food that we tried, the Rosu left a great impression on me. I definitely loved it. I really liked the taste when it was paired with the Spicy Miso. This dish is my favorite from the buffet.
Gyu Tongue
This is a must try dish. The Gyu Tongue or Gyutan, as the Japanese calls it, is a grilled beef tongue. With the Negi Minchi and sauces, I really loved it.
As for the dips, they have original sauce, garlic sauce, and spicy miso sauce. Being the sauce girl that I am, I tried all of the three dipping sauce available. Besides the sauce, they also have this recommended mixtures of the sauce. I tried all of it and loved each of its unique flavors.
If you love eating barbequed meat, eating it buffet style in Kintan Buffet should be your top choice. Their food is definitely delicious and you will surely be getting your money’s worth.
