Ferra Hotel is one of the newest hotel to add to the seemingly countless hotels in Boracay. The hotel is located in the town center near Bulabog Beach and The White Beach, and a few blocks away D’Mall.
One of their in house restaurants is The Ruf Resto Bar. Located at the rooftop of the hotel, The Ruf exudes a lush ambiance and the cold breeze of the night makes it more feel soothing. The place is what you would wish to eat dinner after a long day on the crowded beach of Boracay.
Aside from its amazing location, The Ruf also boasts its extensive menu of Asian dishes some of which we were able to try. Check out some of the dishes below.
- Hot Pot Soup (Php415)
This seafood hotpot is one of their signature dishes. It’s a Korean-inspired Asian seafood stew with tofu. Its spicy flavor is perfect for the cold breeze of the night. A perfect dish to make your night a little warmer.
- Banana Bread
Their banana bread is really good, I loved it so much I ordered more to take home. But you need to tell them earlier if you plan to order this one because they bake it fresh.
- Deconstructed Kare-kare
The Ruf’s take on this classic Filipino dish is pretty straightforward. It’s made with crispy pork and beef cutlets with vegetables and peanut sauce. It is served with shrimp paste to match.
- Zabana Rum
Being a resto bar, The Ruf also serves alcoholic beverages. One of the crowd favorite and also my personal favorite is their Zabana Rum. For starters, I actually suggest that the Darkerri, I loved it a lot.
- Salpicao
This dish is stir fried beef flavored with butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, red chili pepper flakes and other spices. This makes a good pulutan for the Zabana Rum or a partner for the Bagoong rice.
- Banana Orange Flambé
The Ruf recently introduced a new category for their dessert collection, the Fire and Ice. The resident barista will cook the dish in front of you with a technique called flambé. It is those cooking pan that are set on fire using white wine or other flammable ingredient.
- Bagoong Rice
This dish is another of their latest addition of Filipino local dishes to their menu. You should absolutely try eating this one with their Kare-kare and you’ll never regret it. Those two are just match made in heaven.
Despite being a new player in the hotel industry in Boracay, Ferra Hotel’s service is exceptional. Their service is one of the best I had in a restaurant and in a hotel by far. Their service is very personal and the staff are very friendly and warm, they try their best to make conversation with everyone.
