Skincare PH: Obagi Signature Treatment (Facial)
I have a beauty confession to make. For the longest time, I have undoubtedly neglected my skin – no sunscreens, little moisturizer, seldom facial treatments. Thinking I’m still young and relatively unaffected by aging. Until recently a friend told me that women should actually start with a ‘working’ skin regimen once we hit 25. It’s a good thing there are specialized skin care centers that can help me jumpstart things. First stop: a deep facial cleaning with the Obagi Signature Treatment by HOO Dermatology.
What is the Obagi Signature Treatment by HOO?
The Obagi Signature Treatment by HOO Dermatology is a 1 hour facial treatment aimed for both anti-aging and skin lightening. The full facial treatment aims to bring back your radiance using only expert-trusted Obagi Nu-derm products.
By the end of the deep and intensive session, the treatment should leave your skin looking younger and fairer as ever. Definitely the perfect treatment I needed to start my renewed beauty skincare regimen!
Top 3 Reasons to Try the Obagi Signature Treatment
Clean and Well-Equipped Clinic (Reason 1)
I had my Obagi Signature Treatment at the HOO Dermatology Ayala Feliz Malls branch. It’s located at the 1st floor of the mall near Terranova. The HOO clinic may be small but I loved how everything seemed squeaky clean.
The treatment room was a little small but I can tell it was well-equipped and state-of-the-art. A comfortable bed, a nice facial headband, and even a blanket to boot. The room was already cold and dimly lit to make me comfortable all throughout the treatment session.
Relaxing Deep-Cleaning Treatment (Reason 2)
My skin has been exposed to harsh elements weeks prior (sun/pollution/sea) so I badly needed a deep facial treatment. I loved the fact that the Obagi Signature Treatment by HOO is a complete facial treatment using Obagi NuDerm products.
My aesthetician started the session with a deep facial cleanse – first wiping any dirt and makeup then a gentle scrub of any underlying particles.
Before giving me a nice facial massage, making it soft and supple. She then proceeded to vacuum to extract any superficial whiteheads and blackheads.
To prep my skin for the actual acne treatment, my therapist then put hot steam to open up my pores. After 5-10 minutes, we then proceeded with the pricking. I must admit, there’s some pain involved but I knew it was all going to be worth it.
Plus, I loved the fact that they have a laser machine to finally seal my pores. As well as reduce the skin’s redness and puffiness because of the pricking.
The Obagi Signature Treatment ended with a cold pore-closing facial mask. Before the application of Obagi Vitamin C Serum and SPF 30 sunblock on my face.
Professional and Friendly Staff (Reason 3)
From start to finish, I only have good praises for the staff at HOO Dermatology. As soon as I arrived for my Obagi Signature Treatment, the receptionist invited me to take a seat and even offered me water to drink. Most importantly, my aesthetician was courteous, professional, and friendly.
As I was ushered to the treatment room, she was courteous enough to ask if the room temperature is okay and if I’m comfortable with the light. And as we went through each step of the Obagi Signature Treatment, she diligently explained what each step was for and what products we’re using. When we got to the acne pricking, she went slowly and kept asking me if I’m okay from time to time. Top-notch service if you ask me!
Overall Review of the Obagi Signature Treatment
The Obagi Signature Treatment by House of Obagi Dermatology costs Php 3,500.00 per session. But it’s really worth the price given the quality of service rendered and products used. When I came in, my face felt rough and oily with an uneven skin tone at the same time. After the hour-long treatment at HOO Dermatology, my face felt super fresh, smooth, and supple. Not to mention, fairer and lighter as promised! Definitely looking forward to my next session at HOO!
