Experiencing the delicious taste of ramen for an affordable price in Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo was definitely worth the visit to Glorietta.
Shokudo pertains to a cafeteria or a casual type of restaurant. In Japan, a dish from a shakudo typically amounts around 500 to 1500 yen or Php 230 to Php 700.
Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo was brought to the Philippines by the Infinity Foods Alliance. They are the same group who brought in Mitsuyado Sei-men: The House of Tsukemen to our country.
THE LOCATION
The Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo that we visited is located at Top of the Glo, Glorietta 2, Ayala Malls in Makati City. The restaurant is open from 10 AM to 9 PM on Sundays to Thursdays and 10 AM to 10 PM on Fridays and Saturday.
THE AMBIANCE
From the beautiful exterior of the restaurant, one would think that the place serves high-priced items, but that is definitely not the case here.
The inside is spacious and you can spot a wall that is made from a corrugated roof. There are some random posters on that wall that gives a street-like feeling to the place. To add to this, they have a half concrete wall that serves as a divider. They use wooden tables and chairs, and you can spot some small barrel drums as well.
The simplicity of the place invites everyone to simply be themselves and enjoy their time eating in Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo.
THE FOOD AND PRICE
Unlike your typical Ramen house, Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo uses good quality of thin noodles for their ramen. And the best thing about this kind of ramen is that it is really affordable.
These are Japanese Rice Bowls. You can choose among Pork Cutlet Don, Boneless Pork Chop Don, Gyu Don, Chicken Karaage Don, and Ebi Tempura Don.

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen (Php 180 – Php 300)
The Hakata Ramen originated from Hakata District of Fukuoka in Kyushu. The broth they use for this ramen is pork-based. Their classic options are White Original Ramen, Red Spicy Ramen, Black Garlic Ramen, and Green Matcha Ramen. These costs Php 180 for each bowl.
If you prefer something else than these classics, you can choose among their other ramen options. They have Charsiu Ramen (Php 280), Boneless Pork Chop Ramen (Php 300), Ajitama Ramen (Php 220), Sukiyaki Ramen (Php 300), and Vegetable Ramen (Php220).
Side order options include Gyoza, Ebi Tempura, Pork Cutlet, and more. There are some choices as well for Onigirazu or Rice Sandwiches which comes with different spreads on it.

Drinks
(Php 40 – Php 90)
For drinks, they serve the usual water, soft drinks, and beer.
Though Mitsuyado Ramen Shokuo has their menu where customers can choose from, they also encourage customizing your own ramen. You can choose the toppings for your customized ramen, like beef strips, barbeque pork, boneless pork chop, vegetable, and egg.
THE FOOD THAT WE TRIED
We only tried the Red Spicy Ramen and the Black Garlic Ramen. Both of these taste amazing.

Red Spicy Ramen (Php180)
This one is perfect for those who love spicy food. They say that this ramen uses karashi, a Japanese cuisine condiment which is like mustard. I like the spiciness of it since it enhanced the delicious taste of ramen.
Having that garlic taste on the ramen made it taste really great. This is a dish that I would love to eat again the next time I visit.
I would definitely go back to Mitsuyado Ramen Shokudo to try their other ramen, toppings, and donburi.
