Tech News Philippines: The New LG OLED TV
LG, as a multi-electronics company, has always been on the forefront of championing new technology. Through the years, LG has gone beyond just coming up with new gadgets and technology. As it has created innovative products that create unique experiences for its consumers. (Remember our heart-pounding Netflix Kingdom experience with the LG B8 4K OLED TV?) This time around, LG OLED TV celebrates history with tomorrow’s AI Technology. In partnership with the Intramuros Administration (IA), LG has unveiled something exciting to elevate the experience of history-learners visiting the newly-opened Museo de Intramuros.
40 Years of History and Learning with Intramuros Administration
This year, the Intramuros Administration is celebrating their 40th year anniversary. IA is the government agency tasked with the restoration, development, and promotion of the national cultural treasure of the Philippines, particularly in Intramuros.
And to celebrate the momentous occasion, LG Philippines simultaneously unveiled their newest line of state-of-the-art LG OLED TVs. Putting side by side our rich and colorful history together with tomorrow’s technology.
The event began with LG OH Managing Director Inkwun Heo handing over six (6) units of the LG OLED TV to the museum. Mr. Heo went on to say, “This 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea. Throughout the seven (7) decades of friendship between the 2 nations, we’ve been championing the importance of culture. We at LG Philippines remain committed in doing our part to preserve and showcase Philippine history. We hope that through the integration of our industry leading OLED TV technology with riveting historically significant content, we are able to communicate to audiences, both old and new, the importance of Intramuros and Philippine history as a whole”.
Also unveiled during the program was a special AVP made by LG through close collaboration with TBA studios. It featured Museo de Intramuros in a different, beautiful, cinematic light. TBA Studios’ Director JB Habac and Cinematographer Pong Ignacio were present to unveil the short film. And even they were awe-struck with how vivid the color rendition of the LG OLED TV was. “Every bit of detail is seen the way it’s supposed to be seen. The dynamic range is really something to behold”, says Habac.
The LG OLED TV AI Technology
Amazing Picture Quality: Deep Learning Technology
After formally handing over the six (6) TV units, LG showcased how their AI Technology can enhance learning at the Museo de Intramuros. As LG’s newest line of TVs is powered by never before seen cutting-edge technology. With the Deep Learning Technology, the new LG OLED TV features intuitive recognition. A technology that can understand how to optimize and enhance the picture and sound for any content.
The AI feeds on data and adapts accordingly, in fact. Thus giving you the best optimal viewing experience possible. Thanks to the Deep Learning Technology, the new LG OLED TV can understand how to display best picture quality from any source and resolution. Just like how the Museo de Intramuros was showcased – vivid, moving, and true to life.
Impressive Sound Quality: OLED Panel
But of course, LG’s AI doesn’t just stop at picture quality. To make the LG OLED TV experience whole, you can also talk to your TV. With a simple press of the microphone button on your remote, LG’s ThinQ AI listens to your every command. And executes them, even those based on an earlier “conversation”. Think Google Assistant or Siri. But this time it’s your very own TV you can ask and command. Try from simple TV controls, weather conditions, or just anything you can think of. LG Brand Ambassador James Deakin gamely tried it as it was very impressive. “This is as smart as smart TVs can get. LG is ahead of the game in pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology”.
Smart Home Adaptability: ThinQ AI
And the good stuff just keeps on rolling. Now that we have picture quality and ThinQ AI, it only commands amazing sound technology right? With the OLED Panel, the LG OLED TV can up-mix two-channel audio to deliver convincing 5.1 surround sound. Deep learning significantly improves output by analyzing source content to produce enhanced sound effects in movies, deeper bass in music, and even clearer voices in sporting events. Or in this case, make bits of Philippine history come to life re-imagined.
LG OLED TV: A Big Step for Interconnected Smart Homes
With all these enhancements, no doubt the LG OLED TV has taken another step in technology. Another step ahead in their vision of a truly interconnected smart home. The Internet of Things grow day by day. And LG has answered the call to provide personalized, proactive, efficient, and easy solutions. All the while seamlessly incorporating integrated multifunctional technology into your life.
I am truly excited to go back and explore Museo de Intramuros sometime soon. Especially knowing that our rich history is further enhanced by vivid visuals and sounds. Thanks to the new LG OLED TV, the TV that understands you.
