Fat Daddy’s Smokehouse in UP Town Centre has been around for quite some time now. It got good reviews and I was so delighted when we had the chance to finally try it.
For our starters, we had the Crispy Fried Pickles for Php186. It’s made with dill pickle strips coated with panko and corn crust breading, and then deep fried. Those who are not quite a fan of pickles because of its sourness might find this actually really good since the frying process alleviates the sour taste a bit. It is also served with Alabama barbecue sauce.
We also ordered their Brisket Burrito Bites for Php185, Baked Mac and Cheese for Php195, and the Buttermilk Fried Livers for Php210. The fried livers tastes intriguing as it may sound, it’s made with chicken liver marinated in buttermilk and then deep fried, dusted with barbecue rub, and served with chipotle mayo and piedmont sauce.
One of their Fat Daddy’s favorites is the Jera’s Ultimate Nachos. It is not like any other typical nachos served in other restaurants, the chips and bacon strips are pretty large and the size of a single order is absolutely a bang for your buck. It is made with seasoned tortilla chips, pulled pork, cheese and bbq sauce, jalapenos, salsa, and topped with large strips of bacon. I really loved this one, no wonder it is one of the house favorites. A single order can feed 5-6 people, and we ordered half for Php330.
Another Fat Daddy’s favorite we had was their Triple Death Burger. A single order costs Php440. This massive burger is made with two quarter pound US beef patty, brioche buns, veggies, cheddar and bbq sauce, bacon, and chipotle mayo. However, you might want to keep an eye on your blood pressure while indulging on this one because this will surely hype you up.
We also had their Chef Pat’s Cheese Dip for Php250. This one would surely swoon all cheese lovers, it is made with mozzarella and cheddar cheese layers, chili beef, cheese sauce, onions, cilantro, and topped with bacon, bbq sauce, fried tortilla, and toasted baguettes. We loved this so much and couldn’t get over it. It’s actually those kind of dish that one would die for. Our group also decided to try their Fresh ad Fried Smoked Platter for Php1900 which is perfect for sharing. It includes pork ribs, chicken, calamari or seafood sampler, salad, and rice.
For our dessert, we tried their Pecan pie, Peach Cobbler, Bacon and Smores Dip all for Php250 each, and the Caramel Drizzled Banana Pudding for Php170. We paired it with their Caramel popcorn milkshake priced at Php195 and their Smokey Male Bacon Milk Shake. They also serve variety of beer choices in case you are wondering.
Fat Daddy’s Smokehouse is a great find especially for meat lovers. Their serving sizes are fairly good, the atmosphere of the place gives off a very comfy vibe, and the prices are very reasonable.
