It is apparent how easy it is to find a good place to dine, eat and drink in Balanga, Bataan, but just recently I have discovered yet another place that I, and many others, can attest to that it’s a place that offers a chill atmosphere with great tasting food and drinks– it is the Esquinita Kitchen and Pub. This was a great discovery which I want to share with everyone. The best landmark I can give is that it is found close to the GAP hote and Greenwich.
Upon entering the bar, you can already get the feel of how artsy and hip the bar is, the walls have creative graffiti on them that can definitely catch the eye of any customer. It sends off this chic vibe. Other than the very noticeable and original designs on the walls, the ambiance in the bar is lifted even higher because of either the live band that plays mellow acoustic music or a hyped DJ that plays great mixes–definitely something that can attract a young crowd.
Main Course Meals
Of course, I would not recommend this bar only because of the music and its ambiance; it is also important to look into the food and drinks they offer and I can say, they did not disappoint. You can tell if a place knows how to cook well if they have perfected cooking fried chicken, which is why I ordered it here. From afar, you can already smell the aroma of the chicken about to be served to you; it has such an inviting smell that as soon as it was set on my table, I immediately took a bite of it. The meat was very soft and tender, with a slight crisp and a hint of spice that gives it that kick. On its own, the fried chicken tasted great, but with the gravy, it tastes phenomenal– kind of like food made with your mom’s love.
There was other food from their menu that we ordered, a lot of which can be eaten when you begin your drinking sesh with your friends. I highly recommend the fried isaw because as we all know it’s a staple and the one they serve is tasty. They also have nachos and sisig that you shouldn’t miss out on.
Like I previously mentioned, I would also delve into their drinks menu, and I can suggest a lot of good drinks from it because they really were flavorful. We were quite a big group so we ordered drinks by the pitcher. For those who want their drinks quite sweet, I can recommend Basag. It’s light and it only has a light punch to it. While for those who don’t want something sweet, but still with a light punch, I’d recommend the Gapang. They have other special drinks I can say that are good such as the Flaming Tower and Slammer, I won’t go into details on them because you’re in for a great surprise! I personally loved them.
Overall, whether you are from Bataan or you’re visiting Bataan, if you want a mixture of fun and chill on a night out in Bataan, you should go to Esquinita Kitchen and Pub.
