Restaurants in Batangas: Club Punta Fuego Food Options
Growing up, I’ve always heard about the exclusive Club Punta Fuego in Batangas. I’ve heard about the beautiful casitas, the posh resort, and the awesome facilities all throughout the resort property. And finally, Karla and I were able to visit the much coveted respite in Nasugbu, Batangas a few weeks back. Thanks to them finally opening the resort to non-members recently.
To say we had a good time in the club is a total understatement. And being the foodie that I am, one thing that definitely impressed me most is the abundance of good food in Club Punta Fuego. Within the resort complex, there are three restaurants to satisfy your hunger: San Diego Restaurant, T&C Bar and Lounge, and Il Jardineto. Let’s go through these delicious Club Punta Fuego Food options one by one, shall we?
San Diego Restaurant
Located nearest to main pool area of the club, San Diego as expansive as the cuisine it serves. The large dining area offers a panoramic view of the club, infinity pool, and the sea. So whether you’re jumpstarting your day with the buffet breakfast or ending your day with a sumptuous dinner feast, San Diego Restaurant plays the perfect host to your cravings.
Of course we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to feast on all the delicious Filipino-Spanish food that San Diego has to offer. So we just had to try San Diego Restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
For lunch, we were welcomed by a delicious Filipino fest. Including the famous Batangas Bulalo, Pancit Canton, Fried Chicken, and Pinakbet with Bagnet.
We loved that San Diego’s food was tasty and came in sharing portions (2-3 pax). For starters, the bulalo was meaty and well-seasoned.
But my personal favorite was the pancit canton – good noodles, generous toppings, with a zesty taste of calamansi!
The pinakbet was good too but I personally found the fried chicken bland and dry.
Sumptuous Mongolian Barbeque Buffet
Next on our meal diary is San Diego’s Mongolian Barbeque dinner.
We stayed at Club Punta Fuego on a weekend so it was high occupancy. Thus the option to savour on the Mongolian Barbeque feast for dinner. Which we all really really enjoyed very much! There were of course hot meal options but the mongolian barbeque was just too delicious to pass up on!
All you had to do was pick your noodles, your meat, veggies, and mix your own sauce. Well, technically, you can ask the friendly chefs to help you build your bowl or mix up your sauce.
But I chose to mix my own and it was a success – savory, tangy, with a kick of spice! Don’t forget the yummy pork roast carving outside!
Tasty Mornings at San Diego Restaurant
Breakfast with a view? Have it at San Diego Restaurant. And that’s exactly what we did! Started with a healthy plate of salad then broke bread with jam and butter. For mains, I enjoyed the fish and the longganisa. And finally had my sweet-enders of some danish and eclairs.
Want something light to start your day? Have some cereal or fresh fruits instead.
Refreshing Lunch Picnic at Il Jardineto
Another option for food in Club Punta Fuego is Il Jardineto. Located at the Lower Beach Club, Il Jardineto serves authentic Italian favorites with a modern twist. Creative dining with fresh, natural ingredients is made lovelier at Il Jardineto by an outdoor beach setting. This is the place if you want to sink your teeth into some authentic Italian pizza and pasta dishes.
We had our second day lunch here just before our water activities and it was the most delightful Italian little picnic we’ve ever had. Il Jardineto is an ideal and accessible refreshment spot for al fresco lunches or snacks by the pool.
We had all the works – pizza, pasta, salad, mains! Honestly, everything was really good and crave-worthy, some the first time I’ve tasted ever. But my personal favorites would have to be the Pizza Balaytigue. It has tomato, mozzarella cheese, shiitake, local pechay, and feta cheese. Light yet flavorful! For pasta, you can’t go wrong with the Seafood option. We also all delightfully enjoyed the Classic Caesar Salad, the Fried Chicken, and the extra savory beef cannelloni.
Traditions and Contradictions (T&C) Bar and Lounge
After feasting on San Diego’s famed Seafood Paella, head over to T&C Bar and Lounge at the main club area. Undoubtedly the classiest Club Punta Fuego food outlet, the T&C Bar and Lounge is your best best for after-dinner desserts and drinks.
Sadly, I wasn’t able to taste any of the cakes and coffee my friends had at T&C. Because I had to claim my much-coveted massage session at Ylang-Ylang Spa, haha. But I did get impressed with the classy interiors of Traditions and Contradictions.
Everything was well thought of and put together, I felt we were hanging out at a cafe straight out of a magazine! It was beautiful. And according to Karla and my other friends, the desserts and drinks were equally impressive.
Aside from desserts and coffee, T&C Bar and Lounge also offers a whole plethora of Club Punta Fuego food choices. T&C offers drinks and spirits such as wine and cocktails. As well the typical non-alcoholic beverages like beers, smoothies, coffee, and fruit shakes.
For food, T&C has a variety of different savory foods with mediterranean and European origins. It can also serve as a lounge where you can for relax after a day of activities in the Club.
Overall, I am one happy camper with all the delicious Club Punta Fuego food choices. Large servings, delicious options, and lovely ambiance. I can’t wait to be back for more fun, sun, and munch!
