Must-Try Healthy Food Delivery Service: Fit Food Manila
For a few months now, I’ve been looking for ways to eat healthy (-ier). It’s been very hard, I’d be honest, especially with the all the food events I attend to but I still try. After all, we all have just one body to take care right? So a month ago, I finally decided to give one of the more popular healthy food delivery services in Metro Manila a try: Fit Food Manila.
I was up for a big trip with Karla in Sri Lanka (blogging about it soon) and I knew I had to ‘make space’ for all the curries, roti, and whatnot. I basically signed up for 7 days with Fit Food Manila Original Package, 1200 Kcal with 3 meals + 2 snacks per day. Was it worth it? Read more to find out!
Initial Thoughts on Fit Food Manila Delivery Service
I messaged Fit Food Manila over FB and I was pleasantly surprised that I got a fast reply. Loved that they instantly reply with a link to their website so clients can readily view their meal plans, prices, and access their order form. I was leaving for Sri Lanka on July 2 so I booked a slot from June 25-July 1, just in time for the 7-Day Fit Food Manila package.
Here’s how the program works:
- Select your Fit Food Manila package (5 or 7 days, then choose your meal plan: Fit Food Original, Fit Food Plus, Fit Food Keto, and Fit Heart)
- Supply Fit Food Manila your complete delivery address (name, address, and contact number)
- Wait for your food delivery at your doorstep. In this case, Fit Food Manila delivers your meals for one full day the night before.
Since my program was to start June 25, I got my meals on the night of the 24th. Packaged in a handy brown paper bag with the daily menu. This was my first healthy food delivery so I was dreading the thought that I might receive meals that were small-portioned, had odd combinations, or worst tasteless! And to my pleasant surprise, I didn’t get any of that.
Soon as I opened my first bag, I immediately thought, “Not bad, not bad at all!”. Sure the meals were more compact than my usual, but they looked really good, vibrant, and very tasty. Needless to say, I was super excited to start my Fit Food Manila 7 Day Challenge! I was so ready to “Eat Good, Look Good, Feel Great”! Check out what I had for 7 days, my personal favorites, and my afterthoughts:
My Fit Food Manila favorites
Honestly, everything was super good and well thought of. But of course, I had my own personal favorites. For mains, I enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Salad (Day 1), Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce on Red Rice, Fish Fillet with Creamy Garlic Sauce on Red Rice (Day 3). For snacks, I loved the Cinnamon Banana Slices over Banana Loaf (Day 3 – SUPER FAVE!), Cheesy Popcorn (Day 5), and Fruit Cocktail Jello (Day 7). Day 3 was the best day ever, obviously! Haha
Reasons Why I Love (and you should try) Fit Food Manila:
1. Fit Food Manila is All About Quality.
I learned that first, they screen their suppliers meticulously to get the freshest ingredients. Meaning, Fit Food Manila, gets their vegetables straight from farmers which make it 2 days fresher than those in the supermarket. They use organic meats whenever supply is available. And three, Fit Food Manila spends weekends visiting suppliers and potential suppliers to make sure their standards for sanitation pass their high standards.
2. They understand the value of Good Taste.
In my 7 days with Fit Food Manila, I did not have one meal that went to waste because I didn’t like the taste. The flavors were well-balanced, well-portioned and were really appetizing. Why?
Well to start with, all their chefs both have years of experience in Restaurants and Hotels in the Philippines and overseas. Second, the have monthly menu R&D sessions with their chefs and nutritionist. It also helps that Fit Food Manila has a pool of culinary consultants who receive free samples daily and give us weekly reports to help ensure that food quality is maintained. Meaning the quality and taste is regularly calibrated. And last but definitely not the least, they have culinary masters who create meals for them from time to time. The list includes Chef Nicco Santos of Hey Handsome and Your Local, Chef Francis Lim of Nav Thai Cuisine / Tipple & Slaw, and Chef Sharwin Tee of Lifestyle Network’s Curiosity Got the Chef.
3. Fit Food Manila Gives their Clients Top Priority!
And I completely agree. From my initial inquiry, actual ordering, down to my mid-program concerns I was attended to well. In fact, I had to change my delivery address twice on my last day at such short notice and their team was very helpful and accommodating. Talk about top-notch service!
